On Saturday 10th June, the international specialized exhibition EXPO Astana 2017 will be officially commenced. The interest of visitors from Kazakhstan and other Central Asian countries is expected to be high - preliminary estimates are reported at up to 6 million people over three months. The Czech Republic has prepared an exposition named “Ingenuity of Solutions” for the exhibition. A restaurant where Czech brewing will be represented by Budweiser Budvar's Premium Lager is an important and traditionally very popular part of the Czech pavilion.
“We have been exporting beer to Kazakhstan for more than twenty years. The Budweiser Budvar brand is seen there as an ambassador of Czech beer and as a symbol of quality. We expect our participation in EXPO to significantly increase the awareness of our brand and its Czech origin not only in Kazakhstan but also in other countries of the region,” says Renata Pankova, Head of Budweiser Budvar’s Export Department. The overall economic situation in Kazakhstan has been slowly but surely improving since the beginning of this year, with the demand for imported beer increasing. “Thanks to that, we are now expanding our range of beer with barrel beer that will be available in selected restaurants both in Astana and Almaty,” adds Renata Pánková. Budweiser Budvar beer is seen on the Kazakh market as a super premium brand with a corresponding final price for the consumers.
The Caravan Beverage Group, which is the exclusive importer of Budweiser Budvar premium lager to Kazakhstan, will also present itself in the Czech pavilion. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to buy dark and pale lager in 0.33-litre bottles or cans with pale lager.
Czech restaurant at the EXPO Astana 2017
The restaurant has a capacity of 40 seats. Chefs Filip Bárta and Pavel Vrbka will cook exclusively traditional Czech specialties and venison. The menu will include, for example, roast duck with dumplings and cooked cabbage, roe with a rosehip sauce or deer steak with a mushroom sauce. Czech visitors to the restaurant will surely be delighted to be served by Kazakhians who studied in the Czech Republic, speak Czech and know the Czech beer culture.
